The Biden-Harris campaign launched an attack ad on Donald Trump earlier this week leading up to the presidential debate on June 27. It appears to be the most aggressive one yet coming from the Biden camp and is reportedly being used to "set up a favorable narrative" against Trump.

Politico reported on Tuesday that "Biden advisers say they plan to hammer Trump over the coming weeks—aiming to both set up a favorable narrative ahead of next week’s debate and keep Trump’s felony conviction top-of-mind for voters."

The aggressive messaging strategy appears in contrast to Special Counsel Robert Hur's description of the incumbent president when he refrained from prosecuting the president in the classified documents case. This was in part because Hur thought Biden would appear to a jury as a "sympathetic, well-meaning, elderly man with a poor memory."
