Meet ‘Donut Boy’


A little boy is on an amazing mission up and down the East Coast to thank as many cops as possible — and he’s bringing doughnuts along the way to be sure police know just how grateful he is for their service. It’s a quest that 9-year-old Tyler Carach — self-described “Donut Boy” — decided to embark on in an effort to shower praise upon the men and women who he said keep communities safe across America.

So, the Florida native and his mom, Sheena Carach, left at the end of June to travel up and down the coast, bringing boxes of doughnuts — and a whole lot of joy — to scores of police officers.

“Cops are my best friends and they keep people safe,” Tyler told WNEP-TV, explaining that he opted to give doughnuts to cops because they are their “favorite snack.”

According to Sheena Carach, he son came up with the idea to “thank every cop in America and buy them all a doughnut.” At first, she said they should start small and build — but then the unexpected happened.
