President Joe Biden informed Congress on Monday that he will end two emergency orders regarding the Covid-19 pandemic on May 11, 2023, over three years after they were enacted.
The Office of Management and Budget (OMB) wrote in a Statement of Administration Policy that Biden will first extend the Covid national emergency which is scheduled to expire on March 1 and the public health emergency (PHE) which will expire on April 11.
Biden will extend the two emergency orders until May 11 and then they will be allowed to expire.
