Despite media reports Attorney General Loretta Lynch will agree to indict Hillary Clinton if recommended by the FBI, Justice Department officials confirm that is not the case.

Lynch is reserving the right to defy the FBI and refuse to charge Clinton if the criminal investigation recommends indictment.

The media claim Lynch will agree to whatever the FBI recommends appears to be an effort by the Obama administration to take the heat off Lynch after it was revealed she secretly met with Bill Clinton.

From the sounds of what’s coming out of the Justice Department, Lynch appears to be furious with Obama administration efforts to walk back her meeting with Clinton and is not at all ashamed of the secret talks.

Bloomberg Politics host Mark Halperin reports:

From a senior DOJ official: Attorney General Lynch reserves the right to overrule the recommendation of career prosecutors and the FBI in the Hillary Clinton email probe...

...”She is not recusing herself.  She is not stepping aside.”  This official does NOT expect Lynch to say that the meeting with Clinton was a mistake.
